Lodging and Camping

Summit Cycle Solutions (SCS) is the accommodations and luggage service provider for Pedal The Plains participants. SCS manages its services via www.summitcyclesolutions.com and has a fully integrated online booking platform. When a participant arrives at the online booking platform, he/she will have the opportunity to book each property and service in detail. All reservations are live. This means inventory is limited and participants are encouraged to book ASAP!* Full payment shall be made at the time of booking. Upon booking, the participants shall receive a confirmation email. SCS’ strength is in maintaining strong working relationships between vendors, hosts, and participants, and they are excited to be working with Pedal The Plains riders this year!

If you book a hotel property through SCS, shuttles will be provided to those hotels and participants only. Shuttles will service the following hotels the afternoon/evening of arrival day and the following morning back to HQ:

Friday, Sept. 15th (PM) & Saturday, Sept. 16th (AM):

  • Best Western Brighton Inn (Brighton)
  • Holiday Inn Express (Brighton)

Note: SCS will also offer luggage transportation services to/from your hotel. Please visit their website for details.

Indoor & Outdoor Camping

Indoor and outdoor camping space will be provided to riders free of charge. Indoor group accommodations are traditionally school gymnasiums and are on a first-come, first-serve basis (there will plenty of room for you though!). You must provide your own sleeping bag and pad. Outdoor camping will be hosted on ball fields. You must provide your own sleeping bag, pad and tent. Showers and toilets will be available for those staying at Pedal The Plain’s official headquarters sites (mobile shower units only will be available in Keenesburg).

Camping on Thursday, September 14 will be available before the event starts. Arrangements have been made for people to indoor camp at the Platte Valley Middle School (700 Hill St, Kersey), in the gym (AFTER 8:00 p.m.), or outdoor camp on the southern edge of Centennial Park. Note: School will be in session in Kersey on Friday, so campers will need to be packed up and off the premises no later than 7:30 a.m. on 9/15. Campers at Centennial Park will also need to be packed up by 7:30 a.m. to allow for set-up of Registration and Start Town Festivities.

Private Home Stay Program

The purpose of the Private Home Stay Program is to provide cyclists who prefer not to camp or stay at hotels with a bed and a bathroom. It is a great way for cyclists to meet local residents and learn more about the community they’re passing through. By reserving a room, at a very modest price, through the Private Home Stay Program, you will not only enjoy the comforts of home, but you will help generate revenue for a deserving group or organization in the area!

If you are interested in requesting a home stay, please contact the following individuals who are coordinating in their respective communities:

Kersey (Thursday, 9/14):
Kersey is no longer taking requests for private home stays on Thursday. Please considering hotel accommodations, camping, or Sherpa Camping for Thursday evening. Thank you.

Keenesburg (Friday, 9/15):
Marc Johns, Town of Keenesburg
(303) 437-4970

Brush! (Saturday, 9/16):
