Demos & Techs

Demo Program

We are proud to partner with DT Swiss and Boo Bicycles as our official demo partners. DT Swiss will provide you with an opportunity to test ride new wheels during the 3-day Tour and Boo Bicycles will get you on a handcrafted bicycle using the finest bamboo in the world.

Here’s how it works:

  • Each day of the Tour (starting on Friday, 9/18) you may visit the demo area to reserve your wheels or bicycle.
  • DT Swiss will remove your wheels and install a set of demo wheels or Boo Bicycles will get you fitted on one of their bikes. The next day, you’ll ride on the new demo wheels or bike while they transport yours.
  • After enjoying a set of DT Swiss wheels or a Boo bicycle for the day, you’ll return it to the demo area.

DT Swiss & Boo Bicycles will require a valid driver’s license and credit card at sign up. If you are a minor you will have to have a legal guardian present in order to be eligible.

Boo Frame Auction, benefiting The Denver Post Community Foundation
Boo will auction a  Boo RS-R Frame. The RS-R soaks up the roughest roads with aplomb, thanks to the vibration-eating lignin found between the stiff bamboo fibers.  This miracle material has incredible bending stiffness coupled with vibration dampening, naturally.  You can have your cake and eat it, too. Place your bid at the PTP information booth during Pedal The Plains!

Pedal The Plains is a fully supported tour. Bike technicians will be available to assist you at aid stations should you have mechanical difficulties along the way. At a minimum however, you should carry and know how to use equipment to patch and change your tires. A special thanks to the following bike shop partners for their support:

Wheat Ridge Cyclery Campus Cycles
Treads Bicycle Outfitters
