3-Day Tour: September 15-17: Kersey, Keenesburg & Brush – 177 Miles


(D1) Kersey to Keenesburg; (D2) Keenesburg to Brush; (D3) Brush to Kersey 

Registration fee includes: camping space; showers; transportation of one bag during the Tour (up to 70 lbs); shuttle services; admission to The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg; entertainment in host towns; aid stations; bike techs; SAG vehicles; medical support; a PTP jersey and water bottle; on-route lunch; rider’s map book; and a finisher’s medal. 3-Day cyclists may also elect to ride the “Century-PLUS” Ride on Saturday, free of charge.

1-Day Century-Plus Ride: September 16: Keenesburg to Brush – 114.5 miles


Keenesburg to Brush via Ft. Morgan & Pawnee National Grassland

Registration fee includes: a jersey; route map; on-route lunch; aid stations; SAG vehicles; bike techs; medical support; entertainment at the end of the day; and a finisher’s medal. Should you care to stay in Keenesburg the night prior to the ride or in Brush at the conclusion of the ride, camping space and showers will be available. Shuttles to transport you and your bike back to the start line will be also available (free of charge) on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., as well as Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. *Route is 115 miles.

Family Fun Ride

Unfortunately, the Family Fun Ride will not be offered this year, but check back again next year!

Team Entries

If you’re planning to ride with friends or family, you may apply as a team (same registration costs apply per person). Teams are fun and are highly encouraged! There is no cap on team sizes. You may apply as a team simultaneously in one session and/or add members to your team at a later date (until August 27). Please note: Team captains will need to create a Race IT account and share your team name with your fellow riders in order for them to be included. If you are planning to do Pedal The Plains on a tandem, both cyclists must register as one team (each pays the registration fee). Please also note: for the 3-Day Tour, riders aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21.

Registration Incentive (3-Day Tour ONLY) – Team up for charity! Ride with a team of 10 or more and Pedal The Plains will donate 10% of your total registration fees to a charity of your choice!

It’s is a great way to meet people, get in shape for riding, and have a whole lot of fun out there on the Tour!


Pedal The Plains welcomes nonprofit organizations to utilize this one-of-a-kind cycling experience as a means of raising awareness and funds for your own cause! Online fundraising for your organization, however, will need to be coordinated and managed on your own, as PTP does not provide such platforms and tools.


After successfully registering, all participants will receive a confirmation email sent to the address they specified (if you don’t find one in your inbox, please also check you spam or promotions folder). In early August, a Rider Almanac that’s chock-full of event details will be emailed as an electronic PDF. The 2017 Rider Almanac is your guide to a fun and rewarding experience this fall!


Refunds will only be accepted for the 3-Day Tour. If you wish to cancel your registration, you must request a refund by emailing: by August 27, 5:00 p.m. MST. No refunds will be issued after this date, regardless of the circumstances. A $65 processing fee will be deducted from your refund. Refunds will not be issued for voluntary donations to The Denver Post Community Foundation. Refunds will not be issued for the Century-PLUS Ride.
