Calling All Artists: Pedal The Plains 2nd Annual Poster Contest is Open for Submissions

Now is your chance to have your artwork seen by thousands. Pedal The Plains in partnership with The Denver Post Community Foundation and Colorado Creative Industries welcomes back the 2nd Annual Poster Contest. Starting July 25th artists of all talent levels have the opportunity to submit their artwork representing one of the three Pedal The Plains host communities. The Eastern Plains is home to some of Colorado’s most scenic areas. Put your artist skills to the test and capture the beautiful towns of Eads, Lamar and La Junta.

Submissions will be accepted via the Pedal The Plains website until August 16th. From August 19th–23rd all submissions will be posted on the Pedal The Plains Facebook page where followers will be allowed to vote for their favorite poster by “liking” the artwork. When choosing a winner for each host community, posters will be weighed heavily on the number of “likes” they receive. The Pedal The Plains Facebook page and website will announce the winning posters on August 26th.

The poster contest winners will receive a $100 Safeway gift card and recognition of their poster across all Pedal The Plains social media networks and website. The host community posters will be available for purchase during Pedal The Plains on September 20th-22nd and a portion of the proceeds for every poster sold will be donated to the host community’s charity of choice.

The official rules for the poster contest may be found on
